Where it is

The town’s East Huntersville Area Development Plan, adopted April 16, 2007, covers the land east of Church Street, between Ramah Church Road and Holbrooks Road, and was written to guide its redevelopment. The plan describes the area as east of the railroad line from downtown and notes that no north-south arterial road runs through the study area east of Old Statesville Road. Huntersville-Concord Road crosses the middle; Central Avenue, Dellwood Drive and Holbrooks Road are the other main streets. The town says people walking and biking have the right of way on the advisory shoulders on Central Avenue.

Downtown is to the west, the Ramah Church Road area to the north and the Hambright Road area to the south. We counted 2,455 tax parcels inside town limits in this area.
