The town’s 2040 Community Plan lists Bryton as a power center with up to 1 million square feet of retail when complete, serving the south end of Huntersville together with Northlake Mall in Charlotte. Its transportation list includes a regional park-and-ride lot and transfer facility at the southwest corner of I-77 and Hambright Road and an I-77 interchange at Hambright Road with direct connections to the managed lanes. Both appear on the plan’s list of recommended projects.

Downtown and Pottstown are to the north, Rosedale across I-77 and the Eastfield Road area to the east. We counted 1,613 tax parcels inside town limits in this area.
