This guide covers southeast Huntersville: the pieces of town east of Asbury Chapel Road and north of Eastfield Road, toward Prosperity Church Road and the Cabarrus County line. The town’s Eastfield Road Small Area Plan, adopted Jan. 6, 2014, was written for the development expected once the last segment of I-485 was finished. Its study area is bounded by Everette Keith Road on the west, Eastfield Road on the south, the county line on the east and the planned Verhoeff Drive extension and Asbury Chapel Road on the north. Much of that land was in the town’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, under town zoning but outside its limits. Homes here are in ZIP code 28078.
