Huntersville’s wing places sit near the two busiest Interstate 77 exits. Duckworth’s and Taste of Buffalo are by Exit 25 at Statesville Road and Sam Furr Road; Hawthorne’s and Killingtons are near Exit 23 along Reese Boulevard and Rose Commons Drive, in the Rosedale area.

Duckworth’s Grill and Taphouse

Duckworth’s is a grill and taphouse on Statesville Road near Exit 25, with a beer list and weekly specials posted for the Huntersville location. Its menu has a section for appetizers, wings and salads, and lists wing sauces from medium and hot to garlic Parmesan and lemon pepper. The restaurant says the full menu is served until closing.

Hawthorne’s New York Pizza and Bar

Hawthorne’s is a New York-style pizza restaurant and bar on Reese Boulevard, near Exit 23. Its site shows chicken wings served with celery and ranch dressing alongside its pizzas, salads and pastas, and it takes party inquiries for the Huntersville location. Hours are not posted on its site; call ahead.

Killingtons Restaurant and Pub

Killingtons describes itself as an American gastro pub serving American fusion at Rose Commons Drive. It lists wings among its dishes, along with salads and barbecue salmon, and says it has kids, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menus. It opens at 10 a.m. on weekends.

Taste of Buffalo Pizzeria

Taste of Buffalo is a family-owned pizzeria off Exit 25 that serves food from Western New York. It says traditional pizza and Buffalo wings are its specialty and calls itself the home of the “original pit wings”; subs, hoagies and salads are also on the menu. It is closed Mondays and on several holidays it lists, and says it is not affiliated with online delivery services.
