Where to get burgers in Huntersville: Birkdale and Exit 23

Huntersville’s burger places are in two groups. Three sit-down restaurants are at Birkdale Village and Birkdale Place off Interstate 77 at Exit 25, with Duckworth’s nearby on Statesville Road. Five Guys, Metro Diner and Smashburger are near Exit 23, around Gilead Road, Reese Boulevard and Rosedale Hill Avenue.

The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Huntersville’s town limits, the same data that feeds our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. Each place below names burgers on its own site. We added Burtons Grill, Metro Diner and Smashburger from their own location pages. Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar

Bad Daddy’s is a burger bar chain that describes its food as scratch burgers, with craft beer and cocktails. The Huntersville restaurant is at Birkdale Village. Its site loads location hours in a way we could not read; call ahead.

Burtons Grill

Burtons Grill is in Birkdale Place, next to Birkdale Village. Its menu features burgers, salads, steaks and seafood made from scratch, with gluten-free and allergy-friendly options, it says. It has a dining room, a spacious patio and its own parking lot, and serves weekend brunch.

Duckworth’s Grill and Taphouse

Duckworth’s is a grill and taphouse near Exit 25. Its menu has craft burgers and a create-your-own burger, plus a section for Philly cheesesteaks, sandwiches and wraps. The full menu is served until closing.

Five Guys

The Five Guys on Gilead Road, near Exit 23, is a burger and fries chain restaurant. It is open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

Metro Diner

Metro Diner at Gilead Road and Reese Boulevard serves breakfast all day, lunch and dinner; its location page names burgers along with fried chicken and waffles and omelets. It lists outdoor dining.

Red Rocks Cafe

Red Rocks Cafe calls itself an American restaurant and steakhouse in Birkdale Village and lists burgers, pasta and seafood. It has private dining spaces and a spacious patio, takes reservations through OpenTable and offers free valet parking on Friday and Saturday nights, its site says.

Smashburger

The Smashburger at Rosedale serves smashed burgers. Its location page lists dine-in, takeout, online ordering and catering.
