Spring break in Huntersville 2027: school dates and things to do

Last checked Oct. 11, 2026. This page is updated every year at the same address. School dates come from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools 2026-27 traditional calendar; CMS: 980-343-3000.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ spring break is Monday, March 29, to Friday, April 2, 2027. Good Friday, March 26, is a district holiday too, so students in Huntersville’s CMS schools are out from Friday, March 26, through Sunday, April 4. Easter Sunday is March 28.

What this means for you

• CMS students: off March 26 to April 4, 2027.
• Charter and private schools set their own calendars; check with your school.
• Town camps: summer camp registration opens in February and March; see below.
• Indoor day: Discovery Place Kids, Tuesday to Sunday.

School dates

Huntersville is in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The district’s calendar page also posts the 2027-28 calendar and a list of make-up days if weather closes schools. Students at Lake Norman Charter and other charter or private schools follow their own schools’ calendars. More on our schools guide.

Camps and programs

Huntersville Parks and Recreation runs programs including “kids out fun day” programs, art classes and preschool programs, according to its programs page. Registration for every town program is in the town’s Rec1 catalog. The town had not listed a 2027 spring break camp when we checked.

For summer, the town’s 2026 lottery for Jr. Adventure and Adventure Camp ran Feb. 1-12, and Mini Adventure Camp and sports camps opened for registration March 2, the summer camps page says. Expect similar windows in 2027; dates will be on our summer camps and pools page.
