Huntersville’s nightlife splits between downtown and Birkdale Village. Downtown has two breweries with food trucks and weekly game nights. Birkdale Village, off Interstate 77 at Exit 25, has bars and restaurants open late, a social district where you can carry a drink between them, and free evening events on its lawn.

Breweries and taprooms

• Primal Brewery runs music bingo 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays and trivia 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, according to its Huntersville page. It sells snacks, hosts a rotating food truck daily and welcomes picnics and delivery orders. Performers can apply through its music booking page. Phone: 704-947-2920.
• 760 CraftWorks has a beer garden, is first come, first served and posts a weekly schedule: NFL games on Sundays with a food truck, drink specials on Mondays and general knowledge trivia 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays. It also pours drinks at the town’s A Huntersville New Year’s on Dec. 31.

Birkdale Village after dark

• The Kilted Buffalo posts hours of 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Sunday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, with music trivia Thursdays from 8:30 p.m., according to its Birkdale Village listing. Phone: 704-892-7571.

The social district

On June 6, 2022, the town board created the Birkdale Village Social District, where you may drink alcohol bought from permitted businesses in designated containers outdoors, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, according to the town’s social districts page, which links the boundary map.

Free concerts downtown

The town’s LaLaCaboosa series brings free, family-friendly evening concerts to Veterans Park from late spring to September, with food trucks and a drink vendor. The 2026 season included a youth Battle of the Bands, a Juneteenth Block Party, a beach music Shag Night and Latino Night, according to the town’s page. Bring lawn chairs.
